Join us and design your place with Stantec. **Your Opportunity** The primary role of the Workplace Designer is to interpret and translate the needs and desires of a client into built form. Through this process, we re-imagine the future of the work environment as a catalyst for collaboration, social interaction, and individual work. The design process can take many forms. It may involve production of drawings (2D/3D), as well as writing material to support the conceptual direction of the architecture and design. In this position, an individual will often be required to present their ideas in formal and informal settings with a willingness and desire to hear and respond to constructive feedback. An individual at this level in their career is expected to perform their role within the standard of care acceptable to their peers in the industry. A Workplace Designer is expected to work collaboratively with team members, conceptualizing, developing and documenting varying aspects of a project, including but not limited to concept development, space planning, interior and exterior architecture, materials and palette, specifications and FFE. **Your Key Responsibilities** * Supports project team in the development of design concepts, space planning, documentation and presentation materials, utilizing sketches, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats. * Utilizes BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components. * Assists in research of concepts, benchmarks, materials, typology, and precedents. * Assists in communication with product representatives. * Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule. * Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of architectural design. * Work collaboratively with engineering and specialty consultants’ teams to coordinate design intent and documentation throughout all phases. * Ability to engage in creative and critical thought and able to graphically communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively. * Basic knowledge and application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes. * Basic knowledge of building construction systems. * Basic understanding of all phases of architectural document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications. **Qualifications** **Your Capabilities and Credentials** * Good understanding of Revit and the use of it as a design tool. * Experience with the most recent design software (Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, etc.) is preferred. * Basic understanding of client's expectations of deliverables at different phases of projects including construction documents. * Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite; prefer experience with Newforma. **Education and Experience** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture or Interior Design. Minimum of 0-2 years of experience. Candidates will be expected to pursue licensure as part of their career development. Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): **Salary Range(s):** * $69,600 - $97,500 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA and DC The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
