Caterpillar currently has an opening for a Welder I position supporting Reman Drivetrain located in the West Fargo, ND facility. The Welder l position performs various types of weld and finishing operations.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ability to locate, identify and use proper fixtures and tooling to perform weld operationsRepair non-standard flaws with limited or no assistanceUse blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specificationsAbility to set-up, adjust and perform operations with close tolerance and finish requirements on standardized partsConduct pre and post inspection on all welded partsPlan and make difficult or new setups with necessary equipmentAssist other team members with technical issues and/or production problemsAssist in the development of work instructionsPerform preventive maintenance as requiredAssist in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessaryPerform 5S AuditsPerform Safety Stop Audits observations as requiredParticipate in the CI/PID ProcessAny duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shopFollow the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Standard Work Sheets Other duties as assigned

Basic QualificationsMinimum 2 years job related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Compensation & Benefits Offered!

Hourly Pay Range: $24.33 - $30.97 (pay negotiations based upon skills/experience)2nd shift receives an additional 7% night shift premium2nd shift Work Hours: 4:15PM - 2:45AMMonday - Thursday with occasional overtime on FridaysPaid Weekly!$2,000 sign on bonus. Incumbent will receive first pay out after 90 days of employment and second payout after 180 days of employment.*The payout of sign on bonus will be based on acceptable performance and attendance*40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)10 Paid holidays100% 401k match up to 6% offered on day 1 of employmentHealth, dental, vision, & life insurance offered on day 1 of employmentPotential annual performance increaseClean/safe work environmentPaid holiday shut down at the end of the year (dependent upon business needs)
