Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Senior Designer who combines strategic thinking with a passion for visual design and a strong understanding of UX principles. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver and conceptual thinker, able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaboration-intensive environment. Organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional design judgment are essential for this role. The Senior Designer should stay informed about current design trends, technologies, and tools to ensure the delivery of innovative and effective solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that product builds are sustainable and meet the creative needs of the marketing organization. They will collaborate closely with Designers and the Associate Creative Director to deliver high-quality projects while also mentoring the design team. They will create intuitive templates for our Walmart Creative Studio designers in Marketing, leveraging their deep understanding of Figma. By applying their UX expertise, they will deliver pixel-perfect designs and conduct thorough visual quality assurance to ensure the final product meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate Figma module designs into practical templates for seamless execution by the marketing creative team.
Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
Build Figma templates that integrate with our tools to support automation.
Perform detailed visual quality assurance to ensure design consistency.
Ideate and create high-fidelity prototypes.
Create redlines for development teams.
Maintain a firm grasp of accessibility and usability guidelines and best practices.
Demonstrate foundational knowledge of user experience research and testing methods.
Actively participate in creative brainstorming sessions.
Conduct walkthroughs and training sessions for the WCS team (designers, copywriters, and operations) on module requirements and asset execution from the templates.
Maintain the visual asset guide.
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while upholding our mission, values, and ethical standards.
Balance and prioritize multiple projects across diverse timelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
6+ years of professional design experience in advertising, e-commerce, and production.
Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Strong collaboration and partnering skills, thriving in a dynamic team environment where ideas are freely exchanged.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot minor issues related to typography, layout, applications, and hardware.
Ability to accept creative direction and excel in a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Proactive and self-sufficient.
Proven track record of creating successful digital design systems.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of larger teams.
Proficient in responsive and adaptive design principles, with compliance to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
