Transit Program Principal Estimator

This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Transit Program Principal Estimator** . This position will be **required to sit in office 3-5 days a week in Seattle-WA** . Be involved in projects with our Transportation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
This role has been created to support some of the recent project wins and on-going pursuits in the Seattle transit and transportation market. This position is contingent upon client approval, meaning that employment will be confirmed once our client has reviewed and approved the selected candidate.
Your Impact
+ Lead the estimation process for the light rail transportation project.
+ Vet and oversee estimates from consultants, contractors, and third parties.
+ Improve consistency and defensibility of estimates.
+ Provide detailed analysis and effective summary reports.
+ Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
+ Perform other duties and projects as needed.
Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Applied Science, Civil Engineering or related field.
+ Minimum of 15 years of post-education work experience with a focus in heavy civil estimating with a contractor.
+ Recent experience in the Pacific Northwest is essential and knowledge of current market and bidding conditions is important
+ Proficiency in HeavyBid / HCSS software.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to delve into estimate details.
+ Excellent communication skills for reporting and presentations.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $179,000 - $300,410
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
