As an Associate in the Trade & Working Capital operations team, you will focus on developing and delivering business solutions related to the trade finance products offered by banks. You will handle transactions such as import & export bills, foreign bill collection, banker's acceptances/reimbursements, and letters of credit. You will also provide transactional-based expertise to the business to ensure accurate and timely conduct in accordance with ICC guidelines, bank procedures, and trade finance policy manual. This role provides an opportunity to deepen your understanding of risk management, transaction processing, retail banking, wholesale banking, trade settlements, and trade processing.
Job Responsibilities
Handle and turn around transactions within the agreed SLAMaintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as and when changes occurDrive efficiency by implementing various best practices and continuously seek out for opportunities to improve efficienciesSolve routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines. Interaction is within own team and direct supervisor. Detailed instructions on all tasks will be provided at this role with close supervisionEngage in new deals, attend project management calls and drive smooth migrationEnsure effective adherence to internal policies and other regulatory requirements in the day to day operationsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
Should be a Graduate and have minimum of 10 years experience in Trade Finance Operations handling Payments and Supply chain financing (SCF)Should have thorough knowledge of ICC Rules used in Trade Finance viz UCP 600, ISBP, ISP, URR and URCShould have good knowledge on Anti-Boycott and OFAC RegulationsShould have good knowledge in handling payment messages MT103, MT202, MT101Should have experience in handling reconciliation of different accountsShould have experience in handling entries for trade payments (Nostro, Wash, SAP, etc..)Additional certifications in Trade finance Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) conducted by IFSA LondonShould have a positive attitude towards work and willing to learn and contribute to the businessMust have the ability to work efficiently across the organization, cross–functional teams and multiple stakeholdersTechnological orientation with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
