The Opportunity:

Technical Lead - Data Engineer, who will work closely with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams to build structured, high-quality data solutions. The Technical Lead will work closely with key stakeholders, Data Scientists, Analysts and RWD Data Management Product Delivery team that includes Data Engineers, Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Test Engineers, Architects etc to design and develop Data Management technology solutions and Data Ingestion Pipelines to ingest and manage large scale Global Scientific Datasets e.g. Omics, Imaging, Digital and EHR modalities.  

To succeed in this position, you should have extensive experience in leading data engineering initiatives, developing and managing complex data ingestion pipelines in AWS cloud environments, and working with large-scale scientific datasets (e.g., Omics, Imaging, Digital, and EHR) using technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, Python, and various ETL tools.

Oversee technical team, provide direction and guidance for development & architecture

Lead to Develop Multi-model (EHR, Imaging, Digital & Genomic) Data Ingestion Pipeline for new datasets ingestion and Data Refresh from various sources.

Leverage AWS Cloud expertise for enabling data management capabilities and data ingestion

Develop Multi-Modal (EHR, Imaging, Digital & Genomic) data ingestion pipelines from various external data sources such as S3, GCS, FTP,  BOX, RDBMS,  REST API and internal data sources

Work on Cloud based Data warehouse and Database

API Development using Fullstack, Lambda and Gateway API

Performance optimization for the data transfer, processing and data ingestion pipelines

Enhancement of data pipelines for improvements, bug fix, for performance optimization

Generative AI using Large Language Models (LLM) and Foundational Models

AWS Cloud Cost optimization for Data Platform Infrastructure Components

Who you are:

Bachelors in related fields (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Information Systems) or related experience preferably within multiple Data Engineering technologies;

5-7+ years experience with data engineering

Hands on experience as Data Engineering in Cloud Data Solutions (AWS Cloud, Snowflake)

Experienced in ETL/ETL technologies, Talend, Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions

Python, Lambda, Shell Scripting Skills

Full Stack API Development,  Amazon API Gateway, SwaggerHub

Data Warehouse Expertise (Redshift, Snowflake)

SQL Expertise, RDBMS (PostgreSQL,Oracle,SQL Server, MySQL), DynamoDB

Kubernetes, Docker

GitHub, GitLab and CI/CD Automation
