Tech and Tools Program Manager, Amazon Corporate Security
Description Amazon Corporate Security’s (ACS) mission is to deliver a safe and secure workplace for all Amazonians. The Tech and Tools (TNT) team supports this mission by installing, maintaining and operating the technology systems and badging services for roughly 500k global corporate customers. The TNT team is looking for a talented program manager to support our rapidly growing program. The right candidate will have a strong track record of writing strategy and other business documents, tracking program goals and metrics, and maintaining fidelity on the details of multiple lines of programmatic effort. Success in this role requires the ability to build relationships across functional stakeholders, anticipate stakeholder needs and customer needs to propose and plan future work and program deliverables, strong written and verbal communication skills, a deep sense of ownership, and an ability to shift between strategic thinking and rolling up your sleeves to get things done. Key job responsibilities • Own development of business review documents, including WBRs, MBRs, and QBRs. Work with leadership to establish specific focus and voice for each document based on audience, and provide recommendations for iterations when necessary • Manage development and submission of sections for strategy, budget, goals, other planning documents. Create for leadership review strategic documents for presentation to Executive-level leadership. • Provide support to shepherd contracts and procurements from start to conclusion, including following or assisting others to follow defined steps in standard operating procedures, engaging subject matter experts on other teams for consultation and guidance, and managing all documentation and tracking requirements. • Audit organizational operating mechanisms, including team and vendor key performance indicators (KPIs), to track program effectiveness and provide related recommendations. • Leverage project management tools to hold teams accountable for following through on action plans and achieving goals. • Communicate project status, drive and elevate decision making and help requests. • Steward TNT special initiatives by supporting events, documentation, and stakeholder relationships that drive forward progress towards shared goals. A day in the life As a Program Manager, you will join a group of professionals supporting the growth and evolution of the TNT program to provide flawless services to its current and future Amazonian customers. As a member of the TNT leadership team, your job will be to help Think Big and manage numerous lines of effort that help to define the TNT’s mission, vision, and service delivery goals. You will demonstrate a high degree of ownership, have bias for action, and be responsible for your own work products that show the TNT’s value to the enterprise. For example, you will collate and inspect data, track and report milestones, and present findings through business review documents. You will help to show the TNT’s value proposition by presenting analysis that speaks to TNT outcomes and returns on investment. You will ensure all the projects and lines of effort you support follow required operational and procedural steps and align with organizational goals and objectives. You will work directly with the TNT Global Lead and other TNT leaders on their projects and programs related to people management, professional and organizational development, continuous improvement, change management, restructuring, standardizing, and optimization. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and experience crafting communications for an Executive audience. - Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. - Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines. - Experience using data and metrics to identify and recommend improvements. - Demonstrated experience in investigating error, developing root cause analysis, and reporting findings and proposed mitigations to leadership team members. Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field. - Three or more (3+) years of owning project strategy, driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience. - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Proven track record of bar raising service delivery monitoring skills including the development, implementation, and tracking of KPIs, performance improvement initiatives, and scope enhancement projects. - Demonstrated analytical acumen and data-driven mindset towards decision-making in order to define strategy, spark growth, and fuel long-term impact. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
