System Services Representative
**Introduction** The System Services Representative is a key player in client satisfaction. They are face to face with a wide array of clients on a daily basis. Their role is primarily to perform onsite hardware repair and maintenance of IBM and OEM equipment. **Your role and responsibilities** The System Services Representative is responsible for a variety of activities related to providing onsite technical service to IBM-branded and other equipment manufacturer's Printers, ABM/Cash Management machines, PCs & Laptops, and Networking devices. This includes interacting with customers, maintaining complete and accurate documentation and timesheets, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, and having the ability to create a connection with customers. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of electronics, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to properly use various hand tools and test equipment. Both written and spoken English communication skills are a position requirement, as is the ability to follow written or spoken directions, as well as provide information to others in a clear and concise manner. The candidate must also have a basic understanding of, and be able to articulate, IBM's technical support delivery methodology, particularly as it relates to base and enhanced support. The candidate will also assume additional responsibilities as assigned. Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, however, moderate overtime and a rotating shift work schedule are also components of the position. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Strong teamwork and communication skills * Ability to work independently and without supervision * Strong time management and organization skills * Physical ability to lift and carry, reach, crouch, crawl, etc. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite * Must have energy, enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude * Leadership abilities * Strong command of both written and spoken English * Driver’s license and reliable vehicle * Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software problems * Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude * Customer service focus * A+ Certification is an asset. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * At least 2 years of repair experience in the following segments: Banking ATM/CRU/CDU, PCs and laptops, Lexmark printers * College diploma in a related technical field * Minimum education of High School completion or Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) * A+ certification is an asset.
