As a Software Engineer III - Full Stack Java/IAM Developer at JPMorgan Chase within Commercial and Investment Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java and related technologies. Implement and manage IAM solutions to ensure secure access to applications and data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a focus on Java. Strong understanding of IAM concepts and technologies (e.g., OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect). Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React. Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks. Knowledge of RESTful API design and development. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Proficient in coding in one or more languages Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes). Certification in IAM or related security fields. Experience working with ForgeRock/Ping Identity
