As a Automation Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team with a real focus on testing and QA, to help deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Market Risk is a product organization at JP Morgan, within the Risk Management Tower of Corporate Technology. The Market Risk group is responsible for calculating and reporting the risk of losses due to movements in market variables like prices and volatility
Job responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts to ensure software qualityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize testing requirements and achieve thorough test coveragePerform manual, automated and regression testing, track issues, and verify bug fixes, to ensure software stability and reliabilityDesign and implement test automation frameworks to streamline testing processesAnalyze and report test results, track defects, and improve testing methodologiesDemonstrate ability to contribute to design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experienceStrong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies, with good proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test executionGood knowledge of programming languages such as: Java, JavaScript, Python, GroovyExpertise in automation frameworks and libraries : Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured etc.Ability to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks along with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Good knowledge of version control (Git), build tools (Maven/Gradle)Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting Test Automation Projects and API Test AutomationAttention to detail and ability to meticulously document test results and defects in tracking tools, such as JiraKnowledge of database concepts and SQL /NO SQL for data validation and verificationFamiliarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), such as JenkinsQuality-Oriented Mindset with a strong focus on quality and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
