As a Software Engineer II-QA Automation at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank-Digital and Platform Services team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
Works closely with developers and other QA professionals to ensure quality.Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineer concepts and 2+ years of applied experience Knowledge of test automation in Mobile, Web technologies using Selenium, Appium, Playwright or Cucumber which are essential for automating test execution.Hands-on experience developing automation scenarios and execution, analyzing results, and identifying and document defects or issues.Understanding of different testing methodologies (Smoke, Functional, integration and regression testing etc.)Knowledge of API testing and ability to write API automation using REST Assured java/Playwright.Familiarity with Version Control such as Bitbucket, GITKnowledge in programming fundamentals of Java/Typescript/JavaScript, test automation, problem-solving, communication.Exposure to cloud technologies like Sauce Labs/ Browser Stack/SeeTest etc.Ability to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.Should have hands on experience with creating Live reporting using qTest/zephyr/Test rail.Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Knowledge in AI tools such as GitHub Copilot will be added advantage.
