Software Development Engineer, Specialized Businesses Security, Vulnerability Detections
Description Amazon’s Specialized Business Services Security team is seeking an innovative Software Development Engineer to join our Vulnerability Management Detections Team. In this position, you will focus on developing, maintaining and extending solutions to detect and report on security vulnerabilities at scale. You will work with a diverse set of tools and frameworks across Amazon Security to support our vulnerability detection strategy. You will develop solutions and partner with a diverse set of security professionals across Amazon, to drive prioritization and remediation of vulnerabilities to help deliver secure products for our customers. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience working SAST, DAST or SCA scanning tools - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
