What you will be doing

Working cross functionally across the Security team, you will align, unblock and enable Security to deliver high impact cross-functional programs at Slack. 

Oversee and develop our Security Operations programs while being flexible enough to support our Product Security and Risk and Compliance teams as needed.

Create frameworks to identify and drive technical and process improvement opportunities.

Partner with tech leads in facilitation of the development of strategic technical projects.

Champion security awareness and advocate for key projects and initiatives across engineering.

You work across organizations to ensure our processes we utilize for work are secure.

Communicate status and schedules, manage risks, help reports evaluate trade-offs, and call out impediments.

Leverage internal data warehouse and visualization tools to identify gaps, track progress and inform data backed program decisions.

Run our vulnerability SLA operations through the triaging and burndown of vulnerability findings. 

What you should have

5+ years experience developing and managing technical programs and complex initiatives from initiation to completion for a SaaS/PaaS based organization with startup similar pace of work

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or four years of technical equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.

At least 4+ years of security specific technical experience. 

Ability to work independently and communicate across multiple time zones

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with sufficient level of technical capability to effectively communicate with engineers, scope technical programs, and identify technical risks

High attention to detail and initiative. Ability to adapt quickly. 

Demonstrated track record of delivering complex projects and programs with cross-functional teams

Experience with JIRA and developing insightful dashboards

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $162,600 to $223,700.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $244,200.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
