The Work You'll Do:
The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of complex software products and services. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, QA, and DevOps—as well as key business stakeholders, this role is responsible for translating customer and business needs into scalable, high-performing solutions.
As a trusted technical expert, the Senior Software Engineer will ensure the application of best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines across the software development lifecycle. This role also provides mentorship to junior developers, drives innovation through proactive problem-solving, and contributes to building a strong engineering culture focused on excellence and collaboration.
More specifically you will:
Design, implement, and maintain backend systems using .NET Framework and .NET Core
Develop scalable, high-traffic, and reliable web applications, APIs (REST/SOAP), and Windows services
Optimize and manage MS SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and background job schedulers (e.g., Hangfire)
Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes
Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and ensure comprehensive unit testing
Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-value solutions aligned with business goals
Drive technical improvements and identify opportunities for refactoring and performance tuning
Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps
Ensure high-quality documentation and adherence to software development standards
What We Need From You:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
4+ years of hands-on software development experience, particularly in backend systems
Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core
Advanced skills in T-SQL, database performance optimization, and stored procedure development
Solid experience with REST and SOAP APIs, web applications, and Windows Services
Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server database design, performance tuning, and optimization
Practical experience with job scheduling tools such as Hangfire
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience with TDD, unit testing, and CI/CD workflows
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
High level of self-motivation, attention to detail, and commitment to engineering excellence
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with system performance optimization and scaling
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with Microservices architecture
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Practical knowledge of unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, etc.)
Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
