Amazon is investing heavily in building a world class advertising business and we are responsible for helping Advertisers reach customers on and off Amazon. This role is within the Brand and Video advertising program.
The Brand and Video Ads team is building the next generation of advertising solutions by working backwards from video and media buyers across streaming tv ads as well video ads. Our team owns three products, an AI-optimized video advertising solution that transforms traditional brand awareness into measurable brand growth; online video advertising to deliver cost-efficient reach through outstream and in-stream video formats; and Sponsored Streaming TV ads on premium, full-screen video experiences across Amazon's streaming and trusted third-party inventory.
We are a highly motivated and collaborative team eager to innovative on behalf of our customers and try new ideas and iterate over them. We leverage Amazon's vast data stores, latest AI models and LLM advancement to optimize ads while delivering billions of impressions per day.
Key job responsibilities
We’re looking for an experienced, self-starter and motivated senior software engineer with a proven track record of building distributed applications and services and collaborate effectively across teams and orgs. You’ll be responsible for owning, designing and delivering highly scalable systems that will be used by internal and external customers to build, manage and serve relevant, innovative ads. You enjoy innovation, simplifying complex problems and tackling challenges.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
