Senior Product Designer – Security

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our growing Sensitive Data Scanner (SDS) team, one of the fastest-growing areas in Datadog’s security portfolio. SDS is evolving rapidly from a sensitive data redaction tool to a full-fledged Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform, helping security, DevOps, and compliance teams identify and act on sensitive data risks within Datadog and across cloud environments.

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape key experiences across Security products, influence product strategy, and drive a unified vision for data security design at scale.

What You'll Do:

Lead end-to-end design initiatives across SDS, from research and information architecture to prototyping and implementation. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers (including teams in Paris), and other designers to shape product strategy and drive cohesive, high-quality user experiences. Influence core features that cut across Security products such as onboarding, notifications, remediation flows, overview dashboards, and more. Participate in defining and evolving the broader Datadog Security vision, helping set long-term direction and ensuring execution aligns with user and business needs. Conduct or contribute to user research to inform design decisions and validate assumptions. Run design workshops and apply frameworks that drive alignment and clarity around complex, ambiguous challenges. Share your expertise and mentor others on design best practices, systems thinking, and storytelling.

Who You Are:

You have 5+ years of experience designing digital products, with a portfolio demonstrating strong UX craft and ownership over complex, system-driven experiences. You’re confident in simplifying technical workflows for users such as developers, SREs, or security teams. You bring deep systems thinking and are comfortable designing for highly interconnected platforms. You’re skilled with tools like Figma, and you're able to prototype and iterate quickly. You communicate clearly and persuasively, adapting your message to different audiences (engineering, PMs, execs). You thrive in high-ambiguity environments, actively shaping both the problem and solution spaces. You value collaboration and feedback, and you know how to build trust across functions.

Bonus points if you have:

Experience in data security, compliance, or data governance (DSPM, DLP, etc.). Familiarity with cloud infrastructure or observability concepts. Designed interfaces involving cost control, risk visualization, or coverage analysis.

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Why You'll Love This Role:

Big growth, big impact: SDS is scaling rapidly, with scope across logs, APM, RUM, code, and cloud security. Your work will be visible and foundational to Datadog’s security platform. End-to-end ownership: You’ll have influence over strategy, prioritization, and execution, not just UI. Transversal design challenges: You’ll tackle features that span across the Security org, giving you broad visibility and a rich variety of problems to solve. A collaborative, high-bar team: Join designers, PMs, and engineers who care deeply about delivering polished, purposeful solutions.
