Roles and Responsibilities
As a Technical Expert, the Senior Power Electronics Engineer performs Hardware related tasks:
Technically lead the simulation and design an overall and New Power Electronics System (transformers, drive, passive elements, control hardware) for Industrial application such as Marine Propulsion, Oil and Gas, Metals rolling mills, and Power generationDevelop New Power Electronics Drive Test and ValidationExecute complex project with high R&D contributionCommission complex and critical/strategic projectsPerform deep analysis to support site issues (detailed simulation, calculation, RCA)The Senior Power Electronics Engineer also performs Software related technical expertise:
Technically lead the development of Offline and Real Time Electrical System Simulation for the Design of a Power Electronics system for Marine, Oil and Gas, Industry applicationsVerify and approve specifications for Power Electronic Controller and commissioning test mode instructionsLead the development of the Drive/Converter Software and HMI, the validation, and test on a test bench or on a HIL Real Time platformIdentify and follow the development of Technical Engineering tools for the project team in accordance with the strategical growth planSupport the project team and Drive Commissioning on complex issuesSupport the Drive Validation and Commissioning on complex issuesRequired Qualifications
PhD with a minimum of 4 years experience in Power ElectronicsOr Master degree with a minimum of 7 years experience in Power ElectronicsOr Bachelor degree with a minimum of 9 years experience in Medium and High Voltage Power Electronics ConvertersDesired Characteristics
