Primary Purpose of Job:
Contribute to the ongoing growth of STANTEC ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical expertise in the building sector, as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design and construction support for buildings, water/ wastewater treatment projects across the STANTEC offices (UK, US, Middle East, Asia Pacific etc.). To be involved in the implementation and delivery of leading edge programmes and projects.
Support project managers/team leader by providing technical support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and STANTEC expectations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Review the input received from client and understand the scope of work and then plan work accordingly without changing design intent.
- Provide technical expertise in the area of all HVAC systems as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design and construction support for projects across Stantec.
- Liaise closely with regional stakeholders (regional project leadership), and in some instances external clients; and local RNet (Pune) team members.
- Produce the technical expertise for mechanical deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications) for other business lines (Water, Oil & Gas, Mining, etc.) as required, apart from Buildings, in accordance with applicable standards and codes for the project.
- Ensure quality and schedule for own work.
- Coordination with other Disciplines Designers and Engineers as applicable.
- Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns to Discipline Lead/Project Manager/Project Lead.
- Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
- Attend project meetings and calls as required.
- May also be required to Train new mechanical engineers
- Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time by management.

Person Specifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters (M.E./M. Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute
- Should have minimum experience of 15-20 years.
- Experience in design (calculations, specifications, drawings) of HVAC related to Building Mechanical projects.
- Proficient in use of typical HVAC design software from Carrier, Trane, IES or equal.
- Ability to perform pump and pipeline sizing for HVAC piping system.
- Ability to complete Mechanical general arrangement 3D models and drawings for plans, single line diagrams, sections, elevations in Revit/AutoCAD with minimal supervision
- Experience using associated discipline software especially AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, ProjectWise, Dynamo is desirable. Experience in HVAC; building energy audits
- The following skills will be very useful *- Basic knowledge of CAD/BIM software like Revit MEP, Auto CAD.
- Basic knowledge of Civil, Structural, Electrical, disciplines.

- Good organizational skills with ability to independently manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The person must necessarily have the following skills:- Communication skills - good command of written and spoken English (the position will require a high level of interaction Stantec engineers, technical staff, project leadership (Project Managers, Project Technical Leaders) in other global offices, and on occasion end client representatives.
