As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Merchant Payments team of Commercial Investment Banking org, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

Job responsibilities

Defines strategy, roadmap for product go to marketDefines the target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategyEngages business and technology stakeholder to discuss and propose design approaches to meet current and future needsParticipates in architecture governance bodiesEvaluates recommendations and provides feedback on business needs, options to get to marketExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceStrong experience in acquiring  and merchant services payment understanding Strong technical background with design and delivery experience with software patterns and principlesAdvanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplinesDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Experience as a functional architect (business / product)Ability to understand business requirements, create design, create technical delivery roadmapsExperience with domain model, understands business process flow, client experience and use casesUnderstands business capability, features taxonomy In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsPractical cloud native experience
