As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Data and Analytics Services Team , you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

Job responsibilities

Represents a product family of technical governance bodiesProvides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practicesGuides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworksRegularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and  advanced applied experience in Cloud Computing, Microservices, Data Mesh Architectures, Architecture Frameworks and Stakeholder ManagementReview and improve modern cloud solution architectures (public cloud, microservices, kafka, no-sql, cockroachdb, datamesh)Develop an understanding of a portfolio of applications and technical capabilities and capture this knowledge in a standard notation / modelling tool with a view to end to end architecture improvements and identification of reuse opportunitiesEvaluate current and new technologies and provide adoption guidanceProvide technical guidance and direction to the business & technical teamsIdentify cost optimization opportunities across the application portfolioWhen required develop secure, high-quality code and review/debug others' code (primarily JAVA based code)Serve as a subject matter expert in specific focus areas (e.g. developing for the Public Cloud, Data Mesh, AI/ML)Be an advocate for firmwide standard frameworks, tools and best practices across the engineering community.Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team culture.
