Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager - Instruments

Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for supporting Marketing and Business Development activities and order growth including sales in India (mainly in North and East region) for FIELDVUE and Conventional Instruments of FCV India. This position will play key role in visiting and influencing customers with presentation, demos etc. and directly reports into the Senior Manager – Instruments of the country.

    
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
•    Grow Instruments (FIELDVUE and Conventional) Business in India. Achieve Business Development and Sales target as agreed
•    Support to promote and increase the business of New Products 
•    Periodically conduct Technical Presentations and Demos to customers to drive Fisher No Equal message
•    Plan and complete site walk target and generate new requirements
•    Effective coverage of End Users, OEMs and EPC to ensure customer satisfaction
•    Support for FEED / early engagement on projects to get FIELDVUE solutions specified
•    Ability to explain our product superiority and develop new customer / markets.
•    Create and focus on MRO opportunities like Positioner upgrade, Tier Stepup, Diagnostic Software selling, Valve condition monitoring, Digital Transformation, Competition Displacement etc.
•    Focus to increase sale of I/P converters, Positioners, Valve Accessories like Air lock up valves, Volume Boosters, Trip Valves, Pressure/Temperature/Level controllers etc.
•    Support to achieve Incremental Business through decided Growth Pillars
•    Help to increase Average Unit Price (AUP) for Instruments
•    Assist to prepare monthly reports and update business opportunity funnel
•    Develop and implement product and solution strategies including new product launch
•    Work closely with Customers and FCV India sales team and guide technically as an Instrument Champion. Work with LCS team to resolve reported site issues. 
•    Work closely with FCV and x-BU sales teams across Emerson to drive key strategic technology initiatives
•    Support to conduct FIELDVUE and Instruments training, Seminars, Roadshwos across the country
•    Attend FIELDVUE Trainings, meetings with IBU Singapore and Marhalltown Teams
•    Provide feedback on competitor activities, market intelligence, including prices and products on a periodic basis
•    Maintain good company image of professionalism, competency, efficiency, and concern for customers

For This Role, You Will Need:
•    Engineering Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics or other streams 
•    Five years plus of experience in technical sales
•    Knowledge of Valve Industry, Instruments like Positioner, I/P Converter, Transmitter, Wireless, Diagnostic, Digital Transformation, IIoT etc.
•    Competitor Knowledge
•    Good communication and presentation skills.
•    Familiar with basic business software applications.
