Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to work within our Credit & Verifications Services business.

Background:

This is an incredibly exciting time for the Experian UKI Region, as we look to build our presence in the UK and Hyderabad and work on a technology transformation to meet our aspiration to significantly scale our business over the next five years. This an opportunity to join Credit & Verification Services on this journey and be part of a collaborative team that uses Agile DevSecOps principles to deliver business value. 

Credit and Verification Services currently comprises nearly 100 engineering teams who deliver over 200 products achieving significant revenue per annum for our UK Business.  Our unique culture and agile ways of working offer a great opportunity to those looking to join an experienced diverse set of problem solvers to design, build and maintain our products. Our Tech:

We're a proud .NET house using a rich mixture of the tools and features. We're using Azure PaaS in all new services and are always keen to evaluate new features to see if we can take advantage of them. We use multiple testing and quality techniques, and our services are pushed through our environments using Azure DevOps pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of an agile team to develop quality solutionsBuilding and maintaining automation and infrastructure via infrastructure as code that support the delivery of our products to our clientsEnsure the security, reliability, resilience, and responsiveness of our platforms are maintained and improvedDocument services, automations, best practices, infrastructure, and operational proceduresCollaborate effectively with product teams to support and enhance the full product lifecycleReview proposals, evaluating alternatives, providing estimates and making recommendationsBe an expert on developing and fulfilling non-functional software requirements and providing technical supportRevise, update, refactor and debug greenfield and established codebasesProvide on-call support for production issues when on rotaSupport other team members’ development

Experience/Skills:

Experience in building and supporting cloud solutions on AzureStrong communication skills with the ability to explain solutions to technical and non-technical audiencesThe ability to work with international teams from different cultures and backgroundWrite clean, scalable code, with a view towards design patterns and best practicesExcellent attention to detail, with the ability to analyse problems and requirementsUnderstanding of Agile methodologiesPassion for continually pushing and improving how we build/test/prove our services

Qualifications

 

Experience with Azure, preferably with exposure to API use and PaaS offerings (for example App Services and Azure SQL)Extensive hands-on with Azure Pipelines to support CI/CD automationStrong in infrastructure as code (IAC) using Bicep and terraformExperience with Powershell scriptingUnderstand networking – including IP addresses, DNS routing, firewalls and WAF’sAbility to pick up new skills and proprietary codeAny knowledge of developing in C#/.NET would be a bonus

Additional Information

This is a hybrid role requiring travelling to London office up to twice a week, as needed.
