About the Role
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Client Project Management, the Senior Client Project Manager will:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously for all phases of customer projects.Bring appropriate internal teams (sales, technical consultants, sales, client partners, etc.) together to accurately scope the feasibility of projects post-sale and provide alternative solutions when projects are deemed not to be feasible.Set and manage expectations (timeframes, process, communications, etc.) with clients, stakeholders, and project team at the onset of projects and throughout. Lead projects through a flexible approach, including advocating for stakeholders and working with them to assess project management practices (i.e., Agile vs Scrum vs Waterfall) that best work with their goals and needs. Deliver projects within the constraints of scope, time, and cost to agreed levels of quality, within the organization’s project management framework.Define, document, and manage smaller-scale projects with minimal supervision, working with multiple teams that may have differing priorities and working/cultural practices.Provide client service through regular, direct contact with clients through a variety of modes, such as email, telephone and live meetings or onsite visits throughout the project lifecycle.Bring appropriate internal individuals together to accurately scope the feasibility of projects and provide alternative solutions when projects are deemed to be not feasible.Develop and oversee the project plans as well as program strategies, including setting project goals, objectives, timelines, and milestones.Create, manage, and align project teams, ensuring that program-level objectives are translated into project-level deliverables.Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to understand project and program requirements, ensuring their satisfaction and strategic alignment.Manage project and program budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and ensuring compliance with financial constraints across multiple projects.Monitor project progress and program performance, adjusting plans and strategies as needed to ensure success and alignment with client goals.Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project success or program outcomes.Develop and implement project management tools and processes, as well as program management frameworks to ensure project efficiency and program effectiveness.Ensure that project deliverables and program outcomes are of high quality, meet or exceed stakeholder expectations, and are achieved within agreed parameters.Evaluate both project and program performance, providing recommendations for improvement and reporting to senior management.Foster an environment of continuous improvement by introducing innovations to project and program management processes.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during projects and coordinating internally on behalf of customers (phone, email, and live meetings or potentially in-person onsite visits).Manage and execute implementation plans including managing project scope, directing staff resources (both internal and external), evaluating results, creating documentation of newly created processes and managing overall engagement.Collaborate with and hold internal teams accountable for ensuring deadlines are met and that concerns are addressed in a prompt and appropriate manner. Create project plans, manage budgets, forecast resource needs and project schedules.Attain the product/process knowledge needed to ‘speak the language’ and potentially step in to perform hands-on project work when delegating is not an option, as well to discuss product specifics with clients when necessary. Can scope out a project based on business requirements and achievable benefits.Recommend optimal system configuration and business processes based on industry best practices.Identify and develop upsell opportunities within assigned customer projectsContribute to the goals and tasks of the Professional Services, including assisting in the development of new offerings and processes and providing internal project management when needed.Key Relationships:
Work with partners on Professional Services engagements to configure and implement ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination, including integration with SAP, cross-training onto ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Compliance.Engage with other teams within Thomson Reuters as appropriate to deliver end-to-end indirect tax solutions, in particular assisting sales, customer support for effective project delivery.Work with colleagues in a matrix organization, developing key internal relationships with peers across the organization.About You
You are a fit for the role of Senior Client Project Manager if you have/are:
Fluent in both written and spoken English.Ability to work on a hybrid in-office schedule 2-3 days a week and as required from our Gdansk, Poland office.Ability to support global teams and clients as required.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (project management certification(s) preferred). 7 years of direct client-facing project management experience, including working directly with senior project leadership.Experience managing large, complex technology projects preferred. Experience with Tax Engine or other related document management systems preferred.Experience with other Tax-related industry products and other Thomson Reuters products or solutions preferred.Functional, technical knowledge of and experience working with Oracle and SAP, especially Oracle Fusion required.Functional understanding of ERP systems and their key components and modules such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and relevant tax calculators, tax tools or engines within ERP platforms preferred.Strong interpersonal and written communications skills. This includes the ability to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with various roles within an end user firm (IT, staff, managing partners, etc.), as well as with various internal departments outside of Professional Services (Sales, Development, Operations, Support, etc.). Experience with process analysis, design, mapping and re-engineeringExcellent organizational and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to work, problem solving and troubleshootingMust be creative, innovative, and flexible, with the ability to work in a matrixed environment.Must possess strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence others without direct authorityAble to proactively identify and analyze project risks, develop risk management plans, report up and out project risks, project status, and facilitate solutions to both project leadership teams and clients.Proven flexibility with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Successful track record of seeing projects through the full life cycle that are completed according to outlined scope and timeline. Ability to support global teams and clients as needed.Project Management certification (e.g. PMP Certification or PRINCE2 Certification) desired.#LI-CM1
