Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will meet both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your knowledge by identifying and developing new sales opportunities. The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation – Energy Division within Blending team across IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tCustomer Communication & Experience: Acts as the key point of contact for customers, providing clear information regarding delivery timelines, payment terms, and general conditions—ensuring a positive experience throughout the sales process.•\tSales Execution & Profitability: Sells ABB’s products, systems, and services, focusing on meeting volume, mix, and profitability targets, while preparing offers in coordination with relevant teams and ensuring accurate technical and financial components.•\tMarket Development & Strategy Alignment: Identifies and pursues new market opportunities, aligns with ABB’s strategic priorities, and negotiates for key strategic contracts.•\tMarketing & Value Proposition: Executes efficient marketing activities, clearly communicates ABB’s value proposition, and promotes a full understanding of ABB’s offerings to customers.•\tCustomer Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and align ABB’s solutions accordingly, creating mutual value.•\tSales Planning & Performance Monitoring: Prepares and updates sales plans using ABB tools, conducts regular performance reviews, and proposes recovery plans in case of order shortfalls.•\tCollaboration & Administrative Support: Manages sales administration processes, supports cash collection and project execution, and collaborates across divisions and teams to share knowledge and maximize outcomes.
Qualifications for the role\t10 to 15 + years of experience in Process / Automation / Engineering sales \tProven leadership skills in managing complex capex projects.\tStrategic mindset with the ability to manage long term customer relationships and complex negotiations \tExperience in Portfolio management, business Strategy and Market intelligence. \tProficient in using sales tools such as SFDC and Risk review \tKnowledge of Regulation & Legal compliance and contract & Risk Management.\tPerfect written and verbal English language skills \tStrong drive, leadership and relation building skills.
