Global Payments Ltd is looking to recruit a Sales Representative to join our team on a full-time basis.

Sales representative is one of most important roles in the company Global Payments Limited (GP). Sales representative should drive and increase new merchant acquisition through own personal activity, with specific responsibility for achieving annual net revenue and gross sales targets and at the same time ensuring prudent cost control and effectiveness to maintain expenditure levels in the budget targets for relevant portfolio.

Your Role and Duties:

Active search and exploring of new business opportunities, monitoring of competition activities, keeping eye on the marketPlanning, organizing and leading of individual business meetings, development of indicative offers based on internal GP pricing policy rulesSell merchant services proposition to new merchants, maintain business support for existingmerchants portfolioAnalysis of credit risk and other operating risks connected to business opportunityStrong drive, ability to achieve sales targets, self-motivated individualDevelop own expertise and achieve maximum performance and contribution to own and teambusiness resultsUnderstanding of local business and knowledge of the marketGood relationship with biggest, most important and high potential clients from own portfolioRegular reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) to management of companyBuild and maintain referral channels (bank and other partner branches) with the aim of maximising revenue and lead generation opportunitiesUtilise knowledge and learning to assess customer needs, in order to enhance our customers’ experience and maximise contribution opportunitiesEnsure compliance with all internal policies and procedures, card association rules to avoid fines, regulatory requirements in accordance with applicable Maltese laws, and the company's responsibilities regarding KYC/AML/TF regulations.Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our response to leads and requests from variouschannelsHelp to build image of professional company with professional servicesProvide advice and guidance to merchants, including the resolution of complaintsExecuting on other assigned ad-hoc duties in case of company operation’s and business needs (rare short term individual assignments)

Your knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1+ years of experience in a similar position would be considered an assetMaltese and English languages verbal and writtenTeam player with focus on individual deliveryExcellent sales and negotiation skills at both internal and external levelSolid time management skills and planning abilitiesFlexibility and willingness to travel (also for mid-term assignments)Client oriented with excellent client service. Ability to interact with various customers at professional levelBuilds positive relationships - Develops and fosters constructive working relationships with others inside and outside the CompanyHigh level of business acumen and commercial awareness, together with an in-depth knowledge of card payment industry: players, services, technology, economics, regulation, trends, etc.Operates as business owner - Understands the business, customer needs and financial implications and makes prudent decisionsDisplays global perspective - Demonstrates awareness of being part of a global economy in thought and actionSelf-motivated ‘entrepreneur’, with a strong drive for resultsProficient in MS Word and Excel
