Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tConduct literature survey and benchmarking to assess the state of art methods for a given problem•\tTake part in the development of computer algorithms in perception, planning and control to enable creation of future autonomous robotics•\tDebug, test and validate core algorithms in a mockup or full-blown setup•\tGenerate intellectual property and writing scientific publications•\tExcellent skills in supporting technological change by fast learning•\tDemonstrate use of creativity and innovation in creating new technology and solutions•\tLiving ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Qualifications for the role

\tCurrently enrolled in a PhD or master’s program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (PhD preferred)\tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality\tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
