Risk Manager, TSI, Collusive Seller Enforcement
Description We are looking for a Risk Manager with excellent analytical and investigative skills and a passion for relentlessly protecting our Customers from abusive actors and unfair business practices. This role involves interacting with multiple systems and using large data sets to identify potential risks, discovering and connecting patterns of risks, performing comprehensive investigations of potential abuse, writing reports to describe the results of the investigations and suggest corrective actions, presenting reports to multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership, and driving the implementation of corrective actions. Your findings are not only fundamental to helping protect customers and selling partners but will help maintain the health of Amazon’s catalog and product listings ecosystem. Key job responsibilities The Risk Manager in this role will 1) proactively and reactively investigate signals of seller abuse, 2) deep dive those signals to identify root causes, 3) share systemic gaps with business owners and stakeholders and 4) collaborate with program/product/science teams to create SOP for detection, investigation and mitigation of abuse MOs. The role requires a person with excellent root cause analysis and investigative skill who can work with multiple cross-functional teams including data science and program teams to deliver results. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience - Experience handling confidential information - Proficiency in SQL. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate security and business risk to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases. - Proven ability to deliver complex projects across multiple teams. - Excellent teamwork, and collaboration skills. - Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically. Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in fast paced e-commerce organizations. - Experience working within fraud, compliance, law enforcement, or intelligence organizations. - Demonstrated experience in areas such as digital forensics or internal investigations. - Experience implementing repeatable processes and automation or standardization. - Language proficiency welcomed (Mandarin, Russian, or Spanish). The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
