As a Risk Management - Market Risk - Analyst within the Private Bank, you will be tasked with the review of first-line defense fiduciary and suitability activities. Your role will involve providing risk reviews and conducting in-depth assessments of investment and fiduciary activities, metrics, and control activities for JP Morgan Wealth Management. Collaborating closely with other Risk Management colleagues, the Business, and key control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Control Management, you will offer valuable assessments and feedback on fiduciary and suitability issues and emerging risks.
Job Responsibilities
Identify risk issues, trends and outliers. Perform reviews into such areas to identify gaps, recommend risk mitigation strategies and document reviewAid in performing fiduciary and suitability-related deep dives and other ad hoc projectsParticipate in working groups and/or meetings and review key risk issues, as appropriate Participate in monthly meetings with global investment risk team members and senior Risk management to discuss risk issues within Investment Management Maintain project trackers and document team follow-upsProduce ad hoc reports as needed and contribute to team projectsWork with the team to enhance risk reporting tools and dashboardsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or similar fields Have work experience in the financial sector, either through full-time or internship positionsAppreciate the value of teamwork and working in partnership with others to accomplish our goalsUse your knowledge to find answers to pressing problems and create workable solutionsCan handle many different tasks and demonstrate a willingness to take on responsibilities that might lay outside your area of expertiseHave strong verbal and written communication and presentation skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Self-starter with experience with investment products including fixed income, equity, and ETFs preferredAre inquisitive, with knowledge of data visualization tools (ex. Tableau) or programming (ex. Python) being an added advantage
