Risk Management - Credit Risk Vice President - Consumer, Retail and Healthcare

As a Credit Risk Vice President on the Wholesale Credit Risk team, you will be a part of our Consumer, Retail and Healthcare group responsible for lending activities, portfolio monitoring and managing investment-grade related credit exposures within the Corporate and Investment Bank and the Commercial Bank. Our teams have risk responsibility globally for nearly every bank product and risk exposure available to corporate clients in the capital markets today. We work closely with coverage and product groups to support business needs. You will utilize superior analytical skills, combined with credit and industry knowledge, to make and support credit decisions for a portfolio of clients.  You will collaborate across credit risk and the business teams to meet client credit requests, while balancing the risk-return needs of the Firm.  

Job Responsibilities 

Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures, across industry classes, on an ongoing basisProvide ownership of client credit needs and projects and independently develops a credit opinionOversee and conduct credit analysis and approves or seeks approval for all lending and trading related transactions, including operating exposures, individually or as part of a deal team Provide credit expertise in structuring new loan and derivative transactionsLead or assist in negotiating, finalizing, and executing documentation for loans and derivatives Remain current on all aspects of the credit relationship, including exposure, compliance, potential problems and opportunitiesProvide a cohesive and comprehensive approach to review ratings, risk assessment, portfolios, clients and industries in their sector Review and assigns risk ratings and maintains updated credit research on their portfolio of clientsWork with CIB Coverage, CB Coverage and Americas Corporate Banking on allocation of capital for clients; maintains threshold and industry limitsManage credit due diligence process for clients, including for capital markets transactionsReview and approve written credit approval documents, which include financial analysis and modeling

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills 

Bachelor's degree Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk, either in banking or a corporate finance roleExcellent accounting and corporate finance expertise and/or completion of a major corporate bank credit training program or equivalent experienceStrong analytical and financial modeling abilitySolid knowledge of loan and derivative products, documentation, and structuringExperience negotiating legal documents associated with credit productsOutstanding verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills Exceptional work ethic and ability to work well under pressure on teams in a demanding environment Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word software 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills 

MBA or CFA designationPrevious credit risk experience in Consumer, Retail and/or Healthcare
