Risk Communications Specialist, Ad Policy, Advertising Trust, Policy Operations
Description We're seeking an experienced Risk Communications Specialist to lead and optimize our advertiser communications strategy regarding ad policy violations, restrictions, and rejections. This role is instrumental in ensuring clear, consistent, and effective communication with advertisers while helping advertisers maintain policy compliance and deliver successful campaigns to their target audiences. Key job responsibilities • Design and implement comprehensive communication strategies for different types of ad violations, restrictions, and rejections • Develop and maintain templates and documentation for various violation scenarios, ensuring clarity and actionability • Partner with Policy, Legal, and Product teams to accurately translate complex policy requirements into clear advertiser guidance • Lead the enhancement of automation systems for violation communications while maintaining appropriate tone and clarity • Analyze communication effectiveness metrics and implement improvements based on data • Manage escalations and complex cases requiring specialized communication approaches • Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on communication strategies About the team Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses at Amazon and that growth generates challenges in managing huge volumes of advertising submissions while maintaining a high customer experience and working at the speed that advertisers demand. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience - Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements - Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent - Demonstrated experience in developing communication strategies for complex policy scenarios Preferred Qualifications - 4+ years of program or project management experience - Experience with SQL and Excel - Experience with research and investigation skills or equivalent - Experience in digital advertising, particularly with ad policy enforcement Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
