Job Description

We’re looking for a team player who’s detail-oriented, curious, and ready to jump into a hands-on role in our busy lab. If you enjoy solving problems, learning new skills, and being part of a supportive, collaborative environment — this could be a great fit! You’ll help with routine testing, handle samples carefully, and play a key role in making sure our quality standards stay top-notch.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Performing routine lab tests like pH, Conductivity, Nitrate Identification, Total Organic Carbon (TOC), and AppearanceReceiving, labeling, handling, and properly disposing of lab samplesCalibrating (or verifying the calibration of) instruments and devices before useRecording test results accurately and reporting anything unusualKeeping lab supplies stocked and maintaining a clean, organized workspaceCommunicating with internal teams and supporting great service for our clientsTaking part in training and development activitiesFollowing all safety and regulatory requirements to keep things compliant and running smoothly

This position is an indoor lab-based position, working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans, tinted moisturizer,  etc) are permitted and must be removed before entryNails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related scientific field, or equivalent experienceAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to learn quickly, multitask, and maintain accurate records while following instructions and company policiesComfortable working in a physical role that requires standing for extended periodsExperience in GMP, biopharmaceutical, or related industries, with familiarity in LIMS preferred

Additional Details: 

The work schedule will be Wednesday through Saturday, 7 am-5:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
