Job Description

Technical Responsibilities

Participating in and/or leading cross-functional teams to support optimal client servicesIndependently investigating team quality deviations and preventing reoccurrences in support of QC operationsEnsures superlative customer service to clients and full operational ownership and coverage of scope of workTrain or schedule training for all employees and participates in required training activitiesTracks and maintains documents regarding training, metrics, team meetings, and other relevant trackers and workbooksEnsures superlative customer service to clientsMaintains laboratory supplies and performs laboratory housekeeping as assignedComplies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirementsCommunicating findings and recommendations at group meetingsReceiving, handling, and disposing of samplesAccurately records sampling/testing activities and reports any quality anomaliesCalibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices before use.May support reviewing, editing, and revising controlled documents (batch records, logbooks, SOPs, etc.) in accordance with cGMP standards to ensure compliance with written proceduresMay perform sample collection, documentation, testing as required by scope and staff shortages

Leadership Responsibilities:  

Leading direct reports, group leaders and their teams, and serving clients in technical settings, such as laboratories or manufacturing facilitiesDisseminate administrative communicationsDemonstrate and promote the company visionMeet all quality and productivity metrics, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaborationCoordinate scheduling and allocation of responsibilities, and new hire on-boarding processCoordinates training programImproves the operations in the lab through LEAN, Operational Excellence, and Six Sigma trainings

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate will Have: 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a client-facing environment.Self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitudeExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailProactively plan and multitask to maximize productivityDevelopment of teambuilding strategies and initiatives

Minimum Qualificaitons: 

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or other science-related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience3-5 years of  previous leadership experienceExperience working in a fast-paced GMP environment Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, 1st shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY, and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
