Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software, and/or solutions. Supports the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing assigned tasks under supervi-sion and by using technical knowledge in a structured way. The work model for the role will be onsite in Richmond, VA. #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in North America.You will be mainly accountable for:• Working in the R&D test lab as a reliable contributor • Using technical know-how in your own area of competence to solve problems.• Supporting the achievement of assigned targets (quality, time, scope, cost), and raising and addressing risks.• Documenting work results such as findings, designs, or software• Supporting IP-related works within R&D projects
Qualifications for the roleBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field2+ years of experience working in a research and development settingStrong written and verbal communication skillsDocumentation experience preferredRisk Management and Incident Handling experience preferredCandidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
