Job Scope
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and control processes and overall TPM (Lean Production / Process Improvement) efforts for the equipment produced at the Green Tree, PA plant. Ecolab produces equipment to monitor and chemically treat various water processes, including a wide variety of 3DTrasar monitoring systems and replacement components. This role will ensure that all equipment meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, and will help to move the Green Tree plant toward TPM Silver certification. This manager will work closely with supply chain engineering leaders, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement quality assurance programs and procedures. As part of the overall TPM efforts, this role will maintain and improve the Progressive Quality (PQ) Pillar at the Green Tree Plant.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 certified quality system to help assure equipment meets specificationsOversee the overall TPM efforts, moving the Green Tree plant toward TPM Silver certificationEnsure compliance with global and local standards, codes, and regulationsCollaborate with supply chain engineering leaders to ensure manufacturing sites build and test equipment to specificationsManage the exception process and authorize any deviations from established quality standardsOversee the receiving and review of new equipment, components, materials, and spare partsLead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) processes to identify and address quality issuesCollaborate with R&D, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Logistics, and Engineering to solve systemic issuesProvide training and support to engineering teams on quality assurance best practices and standardsMinimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical fieldA minimum of seven years of experience managing quality systems with three in manufacturing, Quality Control, or R&DStrong knowledge of the ISO 9001 quality management systemStrong knowledge of TPM / Lean Production principlesStrong knowledge of global and local standards, codes, and regulations related to equipment and engineering qualityProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience in vendor review and qualificationExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills, using root cause analysis and implementing applicable corrective actionsStrong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersAble to work in a fabrication environment (i.e., dust, fumes, odors, and noise)Preferred Qualifications
A master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical fieldCertification in quality management (e.g., ISO, CQE, ASQ)ERP/MRP experience (e.g., familiar working within an ERP environment, preferably SAP)Additional Information:
This role requires 10% travel to other manufacturing sites, and potentially to vendor locationsAnnual or Hourly Compensation Range
The base salary range for this position is $104,700.00 - $157,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms.
