Quality Control Engineer

Ecolab, Purolite Resins, the world leader in resin-based separation, purification and extraction technology, is seeking a Quality Control Engineer at our manufacturing site in Victoria, county Brasov!

What You Will Do:
Oversee testing activities for incoming materials, in-process samples, and final products. Maintains control over samples registered in the QC laboratory.Ensure proper maintenance of the QC laboratory and its equipment.Manages the qualification and calibration processes for laboratory equipment.Review the production schedule to assess and allocate the necessary resources for testing.Estimate resource needs, initiates purchase requisitions and verifies the quality and suitability of acquired materials.Propose improvements to testing methods and product quality.Suggest and implements changes in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance departmental efficiency.Issue Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) for all industrial products and distributes them to Sales Offices via email, following established procedures.Ensure implementation and compliance with all applicable quality system documentation within the laboratory.Execute all tasks in accordance with quality system procedures aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and cGMP Part II standards.Provide support to manufacturing teams in resolving processing issues.Conduct health and safety training for QC lab personnel and maintains training records, based on materials prepared by the Safety Officer.Input and verify the accuracy of data entered into the laboratory database.Perform analytical testing within the QC laboratory.Maintain daily logbooks and quality control records.Tracks all samples of APIs, excipients, and industrial materials sent to the external lab (IFIN HH Bucharest) for microbiological testing. Prepares monthly reports and approves all incoming microbiological reports.Communicate and enforce company policies within the department.Prepare and distribute accurate and timely reports as required.Adapt or establish work procedures to meet new requirements.Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.What you’ll need?
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (all areas), Biochemistry, Pharmacy, MicrobiologyMinimum 2 years of working experience in an industrial laboratorySolid understanding of chemical processes conducted within the plant.Strong knowledge of physical and chemical testing procedures used in laboratory settings.Familiarity with the requirements outlined in cGMP Part II Guidelines.Good understanding of FDA regulations, specifically 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211.Proficient in ISO standards, including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19011:2018.Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and techniques; well-versed in the operation and application of lab equipment.Thorough knowledge of safety protocols and procedures relevant to laboratory activities.Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.Skilled in using computer applications and digital tools.Strong team collaboration abilities.Capable of taking initiative and working independently.Competent in performing analytical laboratory tests.Effective interpersonal communication skills.What’s in it For You:
