A position has become available for a QEHS Advisor based in the Accra (Ghana) Office
We are seeking a QEHS Advisor to join our Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety Team. The selected candidate will be accountable for safeguarding and enhancing business profitability through the effective management, development, and coordination of Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) processes and functions. This role will serve the internal and external customer bases in West Africa and is pivotal in maintaining and strengthening the QEHS relationship between Metso and its clients within the region. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the development of Quality Management Systems, management of Customer Complaints, Sustainability initiatives, Continuous Improvement strategies, reduction of Environmental Impact, and oversight of Health and Safety management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Support and ensure Metso teams are 'Ready to Operate' Identify system and process gaps and areas for improvement. Participate in regional and lead local audits (Quality and HSE) Participate in or coordinate environmental assessments Analysis and reporting on key metrics on relevant Group Reporting Tool (HSE leading and lagging indicators, quality system performance) Lead QEHS improvement in local operation (RCA, Performance Tracking) Support Market Area Africa management in execution of Quality and HSE Roll out and track relevant Metso Outotec initiatives and training Ensure HIRA process is effective Control HSE data communication and liaison with authorities where applicable Manage Implementation of all aspects of Group Management System in Africa (for Quality) Liaise with customer sites on QEHS requirements and initiatives Support and oversee investigation process Support quality initiatives in region
WHO YOU ARE
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in related field (Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety) Relevant Engineering and/or Quality or Health and Safety Management Qualification from a recognised institute Minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience in Mining or Heavy Industry in a similar role Experience in developing and sustaining business systems Experience in aligning different functions/product groups in an organisation
