Join Our Team as a Raw Materials & Gas Testing Lab Technician!

Are you someone who loves hands-on work, learning new things, and being part of a supportive team? We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented individual to join our quality-driven lab. In this role, you’ll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes by performing a mix of sampling, testing, and inspection tasks in both cleanroom and lab environments.

What You’ll Do:

Sample and test compressed gas systems and gas tankersWork in a cleanroom to dispense raw materials and inspect containersHandle, label, and safely dispose of lab samplesCalibrate (or verify calibration of) lab instruments before useRecord test results accurately and flag any issues you noticeKeep lab supplies organized and help with general housekeepingDeliver excellent customer service and communicate clearly with internal teamsParticipate in training and stay up to date on safety and compliance guidelinesFollow all industry regulations and internal proceduresGet cross-trained on additional lab tests like pH, Conductivity, Nitrate ID, TOC, and Appearance

This position is an indoor lab-based position, working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans, tinted moisturizer,  etc) are permitted and must be removed before entryNails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science field — or hands-on experience that’s directly relatedAuthorization to work in the U.S. long-term without the need for sponsorship

Additional Details: 

The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
