The purpose of this job is to support the Quality aspects of the Eurofins PSS team. The compliance specialist must use the appropriate systems and controls that are implemented to facilitate both quality and customer requirements. The PSS team must be motivated and developed in relation to quality so that they are able to react effectively to the changing business needs while maintaining a high level of quality compliance.
The role will also include performing scientific procedures and the producing of accurate results within the required time frame under the customer quality system, using customer company procedures, and while adhering to company general policies and standards
Job Responsibilities
To track all Quality Metrics within the PSS team including nRFT, NOE’s, Data folders, Logbooks, Notebooks and SOP’s. Ensuring all items are escalated and assist in the assignment and tracking to ensure compliance with PSS metrics.Ensuring specific targets are met and any trends noticed are investigatedCarrying out laboratory investigations as appropriate.Participate in functional risk assessments teams when deemed required within the teamTo support the team in driving quality in the day to day work of the PSS team and support the problem solving of any quality issue that may arise within the day to day workings.To support the team and ensure continuous feedback to all members is carried out on all items in relation to Quality requirements/changes.Track the training status of all analysts and ensure completed training records for all tests and other training requirements are completedParticipate in the audit programme for all areas of testing, including audit preparation, area tour, support queries during the audit and follow up of actions to closure.To update regularly with the team and all other client groups to ensure information is transferred effectively throughout the team. Support the team as required to improve understanding and compliance in all areas of Quality where possibleAssist the EHS reps in leading all initiatives in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.Identification of any opportunities for improvement of quality and service and implement continuous improvementPerforming routine and non-routine analysis when deemed necessary, as requested by the Group Leader or client representative.Preparing and approving results for tests in which they have received the appropriate training and are deemed competent.Completion of training records, and ensuring that all records presented for review and approval are at the appropriate standard.Providing training to other team members as instructed by the Group Leader. Ensuring all training delivered is documented appropriately.Ensuring at all times that all documentation and laboratory records are up to date and of an appropriate standard. Development of documentation (SOPs, protocols etc) in collaboration with the customer.Ensuring that all work carried out is approached “Right First Time” so as to avoid any re-work or errors.Gain a clear understanding of all related customer supplemental processes such as deviation handling, training documentation, document and records control.Performing second person verification checks as required by the laboratory scheduleAssisting in the processing of laboratory consumables as required – labelling, acceptance testing.Revising SOPs and updating other documentation as required by the Group Leader.Providing cover for other members of staff as required and for taking part in the customer’s weekend rota and/or overtime schedule.Assisting in laboratory investigations as appropriate.QualificationsA degree in microbiology / chemistry or a related subject.At least 2 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical industry GMP laboratoryGood team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skillsFlexible, adaptable to changing prioritiesPassionate about quality and customer service.Good communication skills both internally and externally.Additional InformationEurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, to make life and our environment safer, healthier and more sustainable.
