PRS Product Development Specialist

 Key Responsibilities

Develop insurance contract language for Chubb’s non-admitted personal lines products (home, auto, excess liability, valuable articles, flood, etc.), designed to meet the needs of successful clients and their families.  Creatively develop new solutions to contribute to Chubb’s value proposition.  This work includes:

Develop and enhance personal lines surplus lines insurance policies, ensuring they align with company strategy and regulatory standards Adapting contract language to align with underwriting intent and strategy Drafting accurate policy language and developing quality contract mockups in a timely manner Participate in IT testing of policy wording to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with requirements. Ability to research and analyze competitor policy language Understanding of emerging risks and hazards impacting personal lines insurance Scheduling and facilitating policy review meetings with stakeholders Facilitate and conduct policy wording training with underwriters and operations team members as needed Creating and maintaining accurate documentation and templates Collaborating with Legal to ensure that policy language is accurate, complies with applicable laws and meets business objectives Collaboratively work with a variety of stakeholders, such as Underwriting Managers, Underwriters, Project Managers, Operations, Legal and IT Respond to ad hoc business requests that may include: coverage questions, product analysis, review of communications for accuracy and alignment to strategies, and historical research on prior projects Document all work to meet internal compliance standards and achieve favorable audit results

Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines. Advanced oral and written communications skills. Written samples may be requested. Collaboration skills. Must have a demonstrated record of working with others to achieve business results.    Advanced Microsoft Office skills required including MS Word, Excel, and PDF. Experience with PowerPoint, Workshare Compare or similar tool, and SharePoint a plus. 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree.  CPCU, other industry designations, or Advanced degrees in business or law a plus.

Experience:

Experience in a product development role for an insurance company specializing in surplus lines products is preferred.  Personal lines experience is a plus.
