As a Trade Relations Proposal Manager at CVS Specialty Pharmacy, your role is crucial in supporting the Trade Relations team to secure access to specialty pipeline drugs. You will own and guide highly competitive proposals and drive the strategy to gain access to the specialty medications.
You will be responsible for completing pharmaceutical manufacturer request for proposals (RFPs) by coordinating appropriate responses from subject matter experts and CVS Specialty Trade negotiators and be the primary point of contact for information related to the specialty drug pipeline. You will interpret internal and external business issues and recommend solutions, in order to maintain an accurate proposal database with clinical and operational expertise that reflects our latest consultant, access, and market strategy. In addition, you will be responsible for the pipeline database and communicate updates to the Specialty Trade team and other key internal stakeholders who rely on the database for their key deliverables. You will drive cross-functional process improvements and projects that lead to best practices in the Specialty Pharmacy Trade Relations Team. Your efforts will contribute to the bottom line of a Fortune 6 organization and assist CVS Health in increasing the diversity of our specialty pharmacy offerings.
You will be responsible for managing the entire RFP process, collaborating with CVS Specialty Trade negotiators and subject matter experts to develop competitive proposals. The responsibilities of the role include:
**•Managing RFPs:** Overseeing the internal RFP process for CVS Specialty and Coram, ensuring innovative solutions are identified and proposals are completed effectively.
**•Collaboration:** Working closely with the Trade team to maintain CVS Specialty Pharmacy’s status as a leader in specialty pharmacy and to gain access to pipeline products.
**•Database Management:** Maintaining an accurate proposal database that reflects clinical and operational expertise, and ensuring data integrity across departments.
**• Support for Negotiators:** Assisting Specialty Trade negotiators in preparing for manufacturer meetings and other projects.

Support and lead the strategy and development of specialty pharmacy programs in collaboration with Trade and drug manufacturers.
**•Support and lead the strategy and development of specialty pharmacy programs in collaboration with Trade and drug manufacturers:** Partner with Specialty Trade, Clinical Managers and Pharmacy Product teams to consult, create business proposals, pursue Legal vetting and approval, and define scope of services. Engage cross-functionally across the enterprise (Trade, Clinical Management, Pharmacy Trade Product, Operations, Account Management, Prescriber Sales, Marketing, Specialty Strategy, etc.) to design solutions and ensure effective execution. Manage key proposals by creating project plans, maintaining project timelines, providing status reports, coordinating action items, communicating key milestones and risks to stakeholders, delivering executive summaries and tracking effective execution of deliverables with internal business partners.
*The ideal candidate will reside in the Northbrook, IL location with a hybrid/remote schedule.
**Required Qualifications:**
• 5+ years in a specialty pharmacy or healthcare environment, with experience in managing client and consultant proposals.
• Exemplary writing skills.
• Proven experience controlling all aspects of proposal development including scheduling kick-off meetings, structuring proposal responses, developing timelines to meet due dates, and final submission.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously often in a limited time frame.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of specialty pharmaceuticals and pharmacy distribution trends.
•Ability to synthesize complex clinical and technical details into concise, compelling proposal responses.
•Familiarity with proposal database management software, such as Upland/Qvidian
•Must be comfortable with up to 5% of travel

•Knowledge and confidence to present and interact with senior leadership and large audiences of clinical professionals, executives, clients and customers

•Ability to prepare materials and present to a variety of audiences of scope and size
•Ability to write reports, business correspondence and presentation materials

**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
