Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Software Engineer to join our team and lead the development and advancement of ABB Ability™ Genix, with a specific focus on deployment automation, packaging, and Core Technical Capabilities. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work directly with a talented team of engineers, driving technology excellence, Agile Delivery Excellence, and fostering People Excellence.The work model for the role is : #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to Process Automation business for Process Automation Digital division based in Bangalore Southfield, IndiaYour responsibilities1.\tProduct Development:•\tProvide technical leadership, set coding standards, and architectural guidelines.•\tArchitect and Design (HLD & LLD) complex software systems using C#, .NET, and Angular.•\tCreate the WBS for the feature that needs to be incorporated.•\tEnsure that the team follows cybersecurity best practices and provide continuous guidance to improve the coding practices•\tEnsure the team follows best practices in coding, testing, and debugging.•\tConduct code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to standards.•\tImplement and enforce automated testing and continuous integration practices.•\tIdentify and address performance bottlenecks in software systems.•\tCreate and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design documents.•\tCollaborate with team to plan for product roadmap, demonstrate MVPs and work with product management team on planning and prioritization of features.

Qualifications for the role

\tBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.\tProven experience (6+ years) in a technical leadership, working with software engineering teams.\tExpert knowledge of .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web API, Entity Framework, & Angular, including components, directives, services, and routing\tExperience in working with applications involving conversational AI and generative AI is an added advantage\tExperience with Azure cloud computing services, such as Azure App Service, Azure Cosmos, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Cognitive Datalake, Azure SQL Server\tStrong knowledge of data structures and algorithms\tExperience with designing & developing scalable, microservices-based systems with asynchronous programming and design patterns\tExpertise in working in CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, deployment pro-cesses\tAbility to design and implement complex, scalable, and secure web & Rest API ap-plications\tBasic understanding of Kubernetes deployment and pod debugging\tUnderstanding of Industrial IoT protocols and standards, such as MQTT, OPC UA.\tExperience in mentoring team members and helping them grow professionally. Ex-cellent documentation skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts.
