The Project Pursuit Manager plays a crucial role in driving and **securing strategic life science projects** for Emerson’s **Systems and Software** group in the **Adriatic Region** , with a specific emphasis on **Slovenia’s dynamic life science market** . This position involves building and nurturing strong relationships with key end users and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) clients, ensuring a solid foundation for success in the life sciences industry. Collaborating closely with the engineering teams in Central and Southeast Europe (CSEE), the Project Pursuit Manager is essential in advancing business objectives and expanding Emerson’s presence in the region.

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ **Identify and Secure Strategic Projects**
+ Aim to meet or exceed annual targets for greenfield and major plant extension projects.
+ Build and maintain high-level relationships with EPCs, End-User Customers, Partners, and Suppliers to support long-term business growth.
+ **Collaboration and Solution Development**
+ Collaborate with customers and Emerson business unit specialists to develop value-maximizing solutions using Emerson’s key differentiators.
+ Partner with regional sales directors and operations teams to improve Emerson’s total business in the Adriatic region.
+ **Commercial Negotiations**
+ Lead commercial negotiations ensuring Emerson’s interests and optimal outcomes are achieved.
+ **Sales Funnel Management**
+ Maintain and communicate a clear sales funnel using Emerson’s CRM system.
+ **Strategy Development and Implementation**
+ Develop and implement strategies to drive long-term project growth and increase customer loyalty.
+ **Project Execution and Compliance**
+ Facilitate smooth handover from pre-sale to project execution.
+ Ensure compliance with legal, trade, and ethical standards.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Technical degree, or equivalent experience
+ Skilled **in actively seeking out and securing sales opportunities**
+ Worked in **industrial automation** with solid know-how in technical products like measurement tools and valves, as well as DCS or PLC systems
+ Experienced in **life sciences** , covering areas like **pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare, and agricultural biotech**
+ CRM & MS Office tools
+ Fluent in **both English and Croatian and/or Slovenian** .
+ **Willingness to travel**
+ **Driver’s license**
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Experienced with DeltaV or other DCS / PLC systems
+ Worked in a matrix organization
