Project Proposal Engineer

In this position you will build technical and commercial proposals for UK mid to large skills projects, you will have to meet customer due dates, providing quality proposals and execution support post-order reducing commercial risk whilst delivering high service standards to both internal/external customers. Once an order is received it will be the project engineers responsibility to load the order within the system and provide a clean handover to the facilities and Order/Project Management.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Ensuring that all Request for Quotation (RFQ) are logged accurately on to the sales CRM (Customer Relationship Management) System and provide feedback on quotes as required Preparing and issuing enquiries to selected vendors, evaluate their proposals, and ensure that high quality, compliant proposals are prepared and submitted within agreed timescales. Immediately address bid clarification requests and revise proposal accordingly Reviewing customer Purchase Order (PO) against project quotation, and associated clarifications, for compliance both technically and commercially, address all anomalies, request customer PO amendments as required  Processing orders in the Oracle system ensuring all relevant information is included where necessary to communicate the order requirements to our suppliers and colleagues in other parts of the business Providing support to Project and Order Management to ensure successful completion of the order including technical and commercial issues. Processing PO amendments as required, defending, and strengthening the contract at every available opportunity in respect of risk and profitability whilst respecting relationships with both external/internal customers To be a key and valuable member of the Bid Management team, providing regular and positive contributions at departmental/management meetings Ensuring full compliance with legal and Company requirements with regards to Trade Compliance and Ethical Business and follow vital procedures

For This Role, You Will Need:

Qualification in an engineering field or clear demonstration of relevant experience.  Proficiency in English language (verbal and written) Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: 

A proven track record of managing major project work, including exposure to the EPC contractor community Experience of selling within a multi-product line engineering business Sound commercial knowledge and business acumen Knowledge of business systems i.e. Oracle
