Project Engineer

You will be responsible for the design and implementation of different projects concerning the mixing, filling, and storage of various chemicals. In these projects, automation, safety, and efficiency will be included.

Work with a team to perform safety studies of current equipment and new equipment (projects) in the plant, following Ecolab standards. You will need to propose new projects to a regional engineering and safety team and present your project to the CAPEX approval team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying new technologies and projects to enable business growth. We are seeking candidates who have a desire for collaboration and teamwork, are self-motivated, possess good communication skills, and are creative problem solvers.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and collaborate in innovation development and deployment (chemistry and equipment) for production:
    - Identify and understand production needs and challenges within the chemical industry and use these learnings to build the innovation roadmap.
    - Collaborate with a global team (and across various functions) on the development of technologies that meet production needs.
    - Develop potential third-party collaborations in technology development or assessment.
    - Provide insight on technical hurdles in innovation development.
    - Be responsible for leading and conducting both production and field tests, which includes:
        - Analyzing test data, documenting, and reporting the results in a clear and concise manner.
        - Developing application guidelines for new products and/or technologies.

Profile


- Proficiency in English, French, and Dutch.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- A mechanical engineer with knowledge of chemicals.
- Several years of experience in the chemical industry is an advantage.
- Experience in project engineering and management.
