As a Product Controller in JP Morgan, you will provide support to the Front Office and co-operate with other members of the organization strengthening controls and supporting the data integrity of the bank’s records. You will also ensure accurate profit and loss attribution, review trades that the front officers enter into, and verify and substantiate balance sheet movements. You will have the opportunity to work with markets trading desks under the Macro, Equities or Spreads businesses.

Job responsibilities:

Conduct daily P&L reporting and month-end close processesReview and verify the profit and loss attributionEnsure accurate trade activity capture and valuation of various financial productsPartner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiativesProvide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance managementDrive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely mannerServe as an analytical and project support resource for product controlPrepare and oversee the quality of the daily and monthly Balance Sheet reportingHandle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field3+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or related fieldExperience doing P&L and month end close processStrong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focusExcellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationship

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

Previous experience with automation tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor or TableauProduct control, financial control, audit, and regulatory reporting backgroundSolid understanding of financial products
