Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the tactical purchasing team in Mexico for Electrification Services division including aftermarket and field services to deliver accurate and timely procurement activities like transactional purchasing, e-sourcing, data management, and reporting. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company and Procurement team instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by tracking of procurement activities within the team, while ensuring quality of delivery service at improved transactional cost. The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Electrification Services division in Mexico. You will be mainly accountable for:•Manage execution and tracking of procurement activities which includes order management and sourcing activities within the team, while ensuring quality of delivery service at improved transactional cost.•Ensure buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines.•Ensure the accurate application of group guidelines to drive improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities, and purchased material inventory).•Secure full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedures, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB•Investigate problems, finds root causes, and recommends improvement to existing and planned procurement processes.•Provide the ability to rapidly respond to unforeseen developments and initiate actions to reduce adverse impact.•Interface with cross functional teams to achieve day to day issues for resolution

Qualifications for the role

Bachelors Degree - International trade, Business Management, Industrial engineering or Similar.5+ years experience procurement areas in manufacturing industry.Advanced English requiredSAP experience requiredTeam leadership experience (Preferred)Excellent analytical and communication skills.Self-directed, organized, detail oriented, able to manage multiply tasks, and with ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams
