Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tResponsible for System Integration Unit direct categories, e.g. PIPELINE/BUNDLE, E&I (PDB/JUNCTION BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER/SWITCH/CONTROL PANEL etc.), HVAC, Workshop Material/MRO, Cable Gland, Tube, Packaging, and other direct spending categories as assigned. you will need a strong sense of urgency and the ability to drive resolutions.•\tRequires experience with strategic sourcing methodologies by performing market and spend analysis, for evaluating all the costs associated with acquiring goods or services from suppliers. It involves assessing direct and indirect expenses to ensure the procurement process aligns with the organization's financial and strategic goals, aiming to achieve the best value for money.•\tResponsible for identifying and researching potential suppliers cross countries, evaluating their capabilities and qualifications, and determining which suppliers best suit the organization’s needs, and ensure possible Supplier Relationship Management planning & execution.•\toften work closely with cross function departments, e.g. Engineer, PM, Sales/Proposal & Production, Buyer & Logistics to ensure the organization’s supply chain runs smoothly and has the resources and materials it needs to operate effectively. •\tBuild a category roadmap, perform sourcing activities, leading competitive bidding by using eSourcing tools, customer orientation with technical evaluation for suppliers’ RFP, contract negotiation and award to supplier, then utilizing scorecard and quarterly supplier review to monitor supplier performance, such as on-time delivery and quality metrics, and make decisions about future partnerships.•\tResponsible for identifying cost savings opportunities, keeping up to date with market trends, such as new products, technologies, and suppliers, and using this information to make informed sourcing decisions. Continuously identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.•\tMust ensure compliance with company policy and regulations related to purchasing, such as competitive bidding policy, ABAC (anti-bribery & anti-corruption) laws and import/export regulations etc.
Qualifications for the role\tA bachelor’s degree or master’s degree preferably in Supply China Management/ International trade / Business management / Machinery / electronics, or a related field.\t>6 Years of Work Experience, minimum of >4 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Sourcing is typically required for this role, preferably with direct material sourcing background in manufacturing industry.\tAbility to work in systematic and structured manner to ensure tasks are performed efficiently with minimal use of resources, time, and effort.\tAnalytical and influence others, drive self-learning and keep continuous Improvement, result oriented and taking ownership, teamwork spirit and good communication & coordination skills.\tProfessional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPSP (Certified Professional in Supply Chain) are valued.\tTravel to Middle East or other countries may required\tFluent in verbal and written English \tProficiency in Microsoft Office tools in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, capable for e-Sourcing & Ariba and SAP
