Process Engineer

Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:  

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our plant in Santa Perpetua.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will: 

  

Support in technical product development by identifying potential specification for improvements.

Analyze product specifications, parts drawings, and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepares operation sheets.

Analyze existing production processes and support the development of recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks, costs, and wastage; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products.

Collect manufacturing data, calculate and analyze manufacturing KPIs.

Create recipes to set up the lines in order to get better performance.

Develop continuous improvement projects to increase the level of efficiency of the plant.

Collaborate with various stakeholders (maintenance, production, IT, R&D, quality) to address production-related issues.

Collaborate with the Health and Safety Department to optimize machine design, ensuring compliance with ergonomic standards and enhancing overall safety features.

Lead the installation of new production lines, covering all phases from the initial concept, manufacturing design, layout definition, coordination with suppliers, civil works, commissioning, to the production of the first energy cable.

You are the right fit if you have/are: 

Fluent in Spanish and English

Engineering degree, preferably Mechanical/Electronics and Automatic Control Engineering

Up to 5 years of experience as a process engineer.

Lean Manufacturing knowledge is a nice to have

Office package and SAP good knowledge

Strong communication & interpersonal skills 

Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills 

Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset
