The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, we're transforming how companies around the world manage tax compliance---helping half of the Fortune 500 and thousands more stay ahead in a complex, ever-changing global landscape. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll work with the Direct Sales and Alliance teams to provide technical support during the sales cycle for our relevant solutions within Sovos' Indirect Tax Technology Suite (ITTS). You'll act as the bridge between sales and product, professional services & support, utilizing technical expertise to support the sales team and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.

More specifically, you will:

Provide superior domain expertise and maintain expert-level understanding of ITTS solutions, functionality, and technical architecture Lead client discovery processes to uncover challenges and document customer landscape, identifying solution architecture and additional sales opportunities Develop a firm understanding of customer needs and align Sovos solutions to address their requirements Conduct sales presentations, technical demonstrations, and training sessions both internally and for clients Collaborate with Professional Services and product teams to ensure successful post-sale onboarding Serve as a subject matter expert for RFP and RFI responses for prospective clients Focus on process improvement, optimizing sales workflows to enhance revenue growth and customer satisfaction

What We Need From You

Bachelor's in a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education Minimum 6 years of Sales Engineer experience or equivalent Strategic thinking with ability to manage day-to-day details and deadlines Strong team orientation with history of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent prioritization skills Proficiency with MS Office software including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint Knowledge of communication protocols (APIs, SFTP, AS2) and delivery formats (IDOC, EDIFACT, XML, UBL) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, multiple languages preferred Moderate travel required for client meetings, trade shows, and Sovos events Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
