Planning Associate/Associate Director

We are looking for a Town Planning Associate or Associate Director to join our Birmingham office. Conveniently located within the heart of the city centre it has easy access to public transport, including being a short walk from New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill Stations. Town Planning works in collaboration with a host of other disciplines including Design/Masterplanning, Landscape, Transport, Engineering and Environmental specialists. You will be joining one of the largest planning teams in the city who are delivering projects ranging from residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial and employment through Development Plan promotion and planning applications and appeals. **About you** You will be a chartered Town Planner operating at Associate or Associate Director level with excellent technical Planning skills and a commercial mindset. Key responsibilities of the role include: + Promoting large to medium scale residential, mixed-use, employment, and other developments (both brownfield and greenfield) through the Local Plan and by preparing planning applications of all sizes / types. + Conducting research and site appraisals on projects for our client base. + Lodging appeals and potentially appearing at Informal Hearings and coordinating projects through the examination processes. + Build and maintain client relationships. + Further raising the team profile and supporting business development activity across the Midlands region + Co-ordination of internal and external project teams and project management/quality assurance. + Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team. We would consider applications with experience in various project sectors within Town Planning that compliment or add to our existing areas of expertise.
